These guys are fantastic! I bought my Nitro ZV21 from Jay a few years back, based on the recommendation of other satisfied customers. They rigged my boat beautifully and have been there to help me with a few warranty issues that I had early on. Last weekend my bow trolling motor failed - of course just after the warranty expired. I was looking at a big expense to replace this unit. Jay went to bat for me, made some calls, and within 48 hours he messaged me that my motor will be replaced. I was told from other customers that these guys stand by you from the time you buy your boat and for as long as you own it. Excellent customer service is not easy to find these days but Westres does it right! Thank you Jay and thank you Westre's. When it's time to upgrade again, my next boat will be purchased from you!!!!!!!! Good fishing!!!!!

I bought a new Aluma Craft boat and motor from Jason. The 70 H.P. was a good match for the boat, neither under or over powered. I was real pleased with how the boat handled the waves on Lake Mille lacs.

The buying experience went very well. I did not feel pressured to buy right on the spot like some other buying experiences have been.

Jason explained all the available options and let me decide what I wanted. I am glad I bought the I-Pilot trolling motor. I know guys who paid a lot more for it at some "big box stores".

Jason was very helpful when I came to pick up the boat, explaining how everything worked. Jason was very personable.

Once again , I appreciate the "low key" atmosphere at Westre's Marine. Spending money can be fun.

I recently needed a motor replaced in my boat. I have a 21’ Larson with a 5.0 L Volvo Penta I/O motor. I was able to find a replacement motor and went to Westre’s to get an estimate to swap out the motors. They recommended I also replace the impeller while the motor is out along with the expected fluid changes. They reviewed the numbers on the replacement I found to make sure it was the correct engine, kept me posted as to the progress of my replacement, and completed the swap ahead of schedule. The final bill was actually less than what I was quoted. This has never happened to me before. Ever. You can give a company 5 stars for the work but to be accurate in estimating the work they are doing is something not often seen. Thank you to Craig, Shane, Jason, and the rest of the crew at Westre’s.

The team there is awesome, during a trying time we are in, they ordered parts, stayed late to sign me out on a Saturday, installed everything and ran into a snag with a part, they got it in and even DELIVERED the boat to my place of work. Arthur S.I’ll start off by saying that although our buying experience wasn’t entirely without issue, in the end, Westre’s Marine ultimately did what I’d expect a reputable dealer to do: makes things right as best they can. We bought a bought a used Tracker Tundra from Westre’s Marine in late July of last year. Email communication was prompt and we made an appointment to see the boat along with a few others in the area (we’re from the metro). The salesperson was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. After a week, we decided to look at it again and test as many things out as possible. We negotiated a few fixes and some upgrades (great deal on a trolling motor) and decided to go ahead with the purchase. Upon pickup, the boat was well-detailed and they took the time to go over the work done and upgrades. On the drive home, we noticed that the surge brakes were rough. After inspection, the brake lines were faulty and the actuator itself was pretty much toast. We went through the process of replacing all the parts to get it back in working order. Finally able to get the boat on the water, we noticed the 115 Merc Optimax outboard was struggling under load (we tested it with a flusher and it operated fine). Unable to run the main engine, we took it back to Westre’s and found out more work had to be done. It took about two weeks to get the parts needed and to do the install. Since there wasn’t a warranty with the boat, we figured we might be responsible for the work done on the motor which wasn’t entirely unreasonable. However, in our defense, we most likely would not have purchased a boat that didn’t have a fully-functioning outboard or at the very least, would’ve negotiated a price to fix it. When we did come back to pick up the boat, we had a conversation with one of the managers there and relayed our experience. We ultimately came to an agreement where we’d cover the labor costs and they would cover the parts which we felt was a fair compromise. So why a five-star review after buying a boat that you had to put another $1k into and ultimately couldn’t fish for over a month after purchase? Because we’re human, we make mistakes, and we overlook things. I myself have been in customer service and management for most of my career to understand what it takes to run a business. Should I have requested a water-test? Probably. Could Westre’s have done a better job inspecting the boat before taking it in on a trade? Maybe. I highly doubt they truly knew the issue of the outboard since you’d have to expect a buyer to come rolling back in when he or she finds out the boat doesn’t run. Ultimately though, they made things right. Look, it’s a family-run business with a great reputation and we weren’t going to raise hell with good people over a few hundred bucks. We’ve bought enough boats to know that things like this come up and you just have to deal with it rather than complain. Every person we dealt with was first class, honest, and willing to help. That’s all you can really ask. Customer satisfaction is often built off speed and pricing. Customer loyalty, however, is often paved through adversity. I’m sure our experience would’ve turned off some individuals from dealing with Westre’s again, but we even went as far as to store the boat with them this past winter because the vast majority of our experience was positive. The boat rigging they did and the outboard repair was done very well to the point where I’d be confident in having them do any future work on our boat. Would I do business with Westre’s again? I absolutely plan on it. Would I recommend them to others? I already have. We’ve dealt with enough boat dealers in our time to know a good one from a bad one. With that being said, I can honestly say that Westre’s Marine is one of the best ones out there. Thank you for a great boat and a five-star experience! -Arthur

Shari ErdmanWe bought a NEW pontoon at Westre's Marine in early May. Great sales experience with Mitch Brown. Recently, we had some minor problems with our ignition switch. We called them this morning to discuss the issue as we are over an hour away from Westre's Marine. They came to our home same day, in the morning ... and fixed the ignition problem. I am SOOO impressed with their service and the people that work there. We will definitely go back to Westre's Marine.
